ABDiff compares and merges files locally on your Mac or iPad. Your documents are processed on your device. ABDiff does not operate a document-processing backend and does not upload your file contents to the developer.
ABDiff does not create user accounts and does not require personal profile data.
ABDiff does not use a developer backend to process your documents. If you open or save files through iCloud Drive or another document provider, or choose a sharing destination, that service may transfer or store those files under its own terms. You choose the documents and destinations involved.
Operating-system services, such as App Store distribution, updates, and Apple crash reporting if you enable it, are provided by Apple under Apple's terms.
Your documents remain in the device or document-provider locations you choose. Preferences, working copies, and temporary files may remain in the app's local storage until removed by the app, the operating system, or you.
On iPad, deleting the app removes its local app storage; offloading the app can retain its data. Use Files or your document provider's controls to delete saved documents or cloud copies. On macOS, use Finder to delete documents and the app's Settings to remove granted folder access. Removing a local app copy does not delete documents saved elsewhere.
To stop ABDiff accessing a document, close it and do not select it again. Contact the developer below if you need help removing local app data.
ABDiff runs in the Apple app sandbox on macOS and iPadOS and uses the operating system's security mechanisms for file access and code signing.
ABDiff is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
